Speaker: Erik Nakamura

Please introduce yourself (name, job title, company etc.)

Erik Nakamura: Hello, My name is EriK Nakamura, I'm the CFO of Orange Comet and excited to be speaking at the Finance Alliance conference.

What will you be speaking about at the upcoming FP&A Summit?

Erik Nakamura: I'm excited to be speaking about culture from the office of the CFO. The cost of not doing it and implementing a great culture is super important. It will translate to our finance heads so that they can quantify those costs from an opportunity standpoint and from a qualitative standpoint.

What nugget of wisdom are you hoping to leave attendees with after your talk?

Erik Nakamura: I hope you have attendees walk away from my session, understanding that culture is important that can drive value within a company and that it can be quantitatively measured through cost and dollars, but also qualitative, measured from turnover, from engagement, from employee satisfaction. And that's important at the end of the day to create a great culture to drive value in a company.

As a finance leader, what do you think is going to be hot next year?

Erik Nakamura: As a CFO, I think within the coming year there is going to be a lot of focus on potential recession, cost savings, but also how do you continue to drive growth in a market in that way? It reminds me of the late nineties, early two thousands, during the dot com explosion and implosion. And the strong companies came out of it with innovation and creativity. and the googles were born the Facebooks, the Youtube's, I really think that this is at a time that's transformative for us in the Web three Blockchain world, which we're gonna adopt new technologies and really become more efficient on how we operate and the technology we use.
