Speaker: Joanna

Why did you want to work with a life coach in the first place?

Joanna: I wanted to work with a life coach because I was feeling very frustrated. I had a lot of goals that I wanted to achieve and it seemed like the harder I was trying, the more I was just feeling frustrated and it was starting to feel like this really vicious cycle of trying harder and just exacerbating the frustration.

How did you feel during our time working together?

Joanna: During my time working with Claudine and the rest of the group of ladies that I was with, um it was a bit of a roller coaster, I think as far as like my own personal emotions because this kind of cracked open like a whole new world for me. Um So at first, there was a lot of trepidation, then there was a lot of exhilaration as I found myself like learning how to maneuver this new terrain. And I would say in the end, there was a mixture of just almost exhaustion, like inner exhaustion because I knew I had really exerted myself and I had like done real work. Um And also uh a sense of peace at finding something that was new and that I think really had been missing for me before.

What are 2-3 tools, skills or gifts you are carrying with you from our time together?

Joanna: As far as tools that I will carry forward, I think one will just be, it's, it's kind of vague, but it's that inner sense. I feel like I got a 6th sense that is a perception of inside. So like an inner perception as if I have eyes that are turned inward, so I can see what's going on in there. And although it takes a little time, I feel like now I have the ability to, when I'm feeling frustrated or when I'm feeling nervous or anxious, I have this ability to all of a sudden just take a moment and see what's going on inside of me and why I'm reacting how I am. I would say another gift is just applying what I learned to me being a mom. I've really learned how to like ask a few more questions when there's an altercation amongst my kids or um just take a step back, take a breath, have my kids take a breath before I move like straight to disciplining or, you know, coming in and just laying down the law, but really approaching with a more thoughtful and um thoughtful approach that like takes into consideration maybe what the bigger picture is.

If you had a friend or family member who was thinking about working with me, what would you say?

Joanna: I would say, go for it wholeheartedly.
