Xin Ren: Hi This is Xinren. I work at the Feedzai Custom Success. Currently, I'm heading North America and APAC data science team. Right now, I'm actually shooting this video from the Hong Kong office. I joined the Feedzai in 2019 right before the COVID started as a data science manager. Before that I have been working in the industry for a couple of years. I was really at this life intersection debating whether and when should I have a kid? It looks like there's never a good time for you to decide.

Xin Ren: There's always afraid that by having a kid, caring kid might put women at disadvantage. I was very much worried that by taking maternity leave and also taking time off to take care of the family will delay my career goals. In 2021, my son was born only a couple of months after I came back from the maternity leave. I was promoted to senior manager. That is the standout moment when I feel really genuinely included and valued. I was thrilled. My contributions had been well received by my boss as well by my peers and people around me. And I want to share that moment with you
