What was your experience with contracting prior to using FAMR's services, compared to what you know now?
Yvette Jones - Swanson: I had absolutely no federal contracting experience prior to contacting F AM R, I had never been in the contracting space federally before and I had no idea what I was doing. I just know I needed help. And when I discovered F AM R, after speaking to several different companies, I decided upon them. And what I know now, what I didn't know then is that it's a lot of work. Literally, I have 15 certifications and, um, I didn't know how to get any of them. I didn't even know I was qualified for a lot of them until, um, my person at F AM R informed me of that. I'm like, oh, wow. Yeah. Well, let's go for that one too. So that was great information, um, to know.
What was the overall process like - how did FAMR make it simple or go above & beyond?
Yvette Jones - Swanson: The overall process was really simple. Um I connected with F MA R and I was informed of what documents were needed to apply for the certifications. And I had to do the work. I had to get those documents so that they can be uploaded and um sent to the appropriate authorities to review all of the information that I had to gather on a long laundry list is what I called it. It was so much paperwork but you know my my counselor um at FMF AM R she walked me through it. Oh Yvette, you can do it. Oh Yvette. So she was so sweet and it took a lot of pressure off me. So yeah, it it was a good experience.
Is there anything that wouldn’t be possible without the help of FAMR?
Yvette Jones - Swanson: Without S AM R things that would not have been possible, would have been me filling out all of those applications and gathering up all of those forms and writing all of those letters and following up with all of those companies or institutions that receive the applications like the SB A and sam.gov. And yeah, so and making sure everything is in one place, all of that would not have been done if I had not been able to utilize a company to do it. And in this case, F AM R was that company that got me through all of that because otherwise this girl here born in 1965 I'm not a millennial, I'm not a um Gen Z gen. You know, look, I'm, I'm on this close to being a baby boomer and that type of, of information and, and information gathering and deciphering through the information to even understand what it all meant. I never would have done it. I would have done business as usual, but thanks to F AM R for your help.
What are the main reasons you would recommend our services? (Share if you have won any contracts, grown your business, etc.)
Yvette Jones - Swanson: The main reasons I would recommend F AM R services to other professionals is because they do great work. Everyone I've spoken to within the company has done great work, follow up persistence. Um They were great teammates and motivators and I mean, they just made me feel like I'm not alone and every time I talk to them, it's like they have some great notes or they remember who I am. But yes, so I do feel like a more accomplished um business owner having all of my documentations, all the ducks in a row. And um you know, I haven't won any contracts yet through um the federal government, but I am working with the Federal government and now that I have all the certifications now, I can just go back and start um applying for those awards for contracts and grants and other wonderful opportunity that the federal government has to offer and all that's based on my certifications.
