Speaker: Laura

Please briefly introduce yourself.

Laura: Hi, I'm Laura Horton and I've been working in dentistry for over 25 years now. Which makes me sound like I need a Zimmer frame. Don't have one yet. I started my career as a dental nurse. As a dental nurse. I completed my radiography, oral health education and I worked in all types of dentistry from high end cosmetic and implant, dentistry. NHS Dentistry Community Hospital. You name it. I've done it and I was always the type of dental nurse who would be placed with the difficult dentist because I was good at managing. I have been a treatment coordinator for the last 20 years. I was also a practice manager and a dual side practice manager as well. What else do you need to know about me? I am now a practice owner here. I am in my patient lounge.

In a few sentences, what will you be speaking about at our event?

Laura: At the event, I will be speaking to you about treatment co ordination. But actually, I will be helping you build a road map and a strategy to help you build a TCO led practice. I firmly believe that every practice that wants an exceptional patient experience needs to have a TCO led patient experience. So I'm going to share with you all the opportunities that you have with treatment, co ordination and help you design a road map to get there. I'm also going to cover recruitment for treatment co ordination and strategies for that and share my methods to success with you. We will also be covering on the day diary zoning. I'm going to share my full method for diary zoning with you is quite comprehensive. But the reason that I'm doing this is because I believe in two things. One diaries being zoned, I think it's fantastic for production. Secondly, I believe the TC should be leading this and it forms as part of their role. I would also add that for the treatment coordinator role to run successfully. Diaries need to be zoned. And again, that's why the TC Os need to lead it. So that we've always got treatment coordinator availability. I'm going to share with you a couple of tools that I'm using at the moment A I tools that I'm using to help me in my role as a treatment co ordinator. And we're also going to be looking at powerful patient stories. I want to show you how I use patient stories and how you can create yours to really help you elevate your treatment acceptance with your patients.

What are you most looking forward to at the event?

Laura: At the event, I'm really looking forward to connecting with old friends, but also meeting many new ones. And I'm really just looking forward to helping you and sharing my experiences and treatment co ordination to help you really grow and build your practice. I know without a doubt that I make practices money with treatment, co ordination. And I'm going to share with you how I do that and you'll see how simple it can be to really help you increase your turnover without cutting loads of costs. I'm also really looking forward to helping you put together development plans for your TCO themselves and TCO that are there really looking forward to helping you put together a plan of action for the development in your role and tied in with that. We're going to have development plans, not just for the TCO but for the practice as well. So I'm looking forward to helping you design those and get it off the ground and it's going to be a really great day.
