Why were you looking for a business coach in the first place?

Stuart Robinson: Hello and welcome, everybody. My name is Stuart Robinson, the owner and director of Castle Bond Dental practise. And I suppose, Look, the first question is that why would we need a business coach in the first place? And I suppose around three years ago, we were a large NHS dental practise with multi sites. Um, and, like everyone, look, we got hit with the covid pandemic. Uh, we knew that the NHS wasn't in a good place and there was no likelihood of the NHS model improving. And we had to really, seriously look at our business model and where we were going to future plan that model. And we realised very quickly that we needed to a transition from our NHS model towards, uh, private dentistry. Uh, and with that in mind, then we said to ourselves, Look, do we want to do that on our own without any assistance? And the answer to that was very quickly. No, um, And from there, then we realised. Look, we need some help, and we could really benefit from a business coach. And it was Chris, uh, Chris Barrow and the extreme 100 was there on the marketplace for us, and we took that option. Uh, and since that look, it's been the best move I've ever made.

What would you describe as the main benefits of membership of The Extreme Business 100 community?

Stuart Robinson: So what would you describe as the main benefits of membership of the extreme business 100 community? Well, the main benefit for me is in the title. It's about the 100 owners, um, and dental practitioners that's involved in the community and that what we've found there's a wealth of knowledge of individuals that's a real benefit to your own business. Um, and that in itself is a massive advantage to us. Um, and I'm really glad to be part of it. Uh, secondly, Chris himself, and the way that the program's designed and structured is very useful. There's quarterly meetings that would be done at a local level. There's face to face, um, and it highlights then, in a very structured way, elements that you need to address as part of driving your business forward. And we found that very useful. It does focus your mind in terms of maybe what can be improved in your business and what needs some development standing in line with technology and how other dental practises are evolving. And, uh, that's the other element where we find there's real value. Um, not to say that Chris is always available. If there's a crisis or if there's something that needs an answer very quickly. In fairness, he's very quick to respond, um, by way of emails or face to face zoom meetings. Um, but be rest assured, he's very good to communicate. I'm not afraid to give you the answers that you maybe don't want to hear. Um, and I would say that that's the main advantage is to being part of the extreme business 100 community.

What difference has working with Chris Barrow made?

Stuart Robinson: So what difference has working with Chris Barrow made? Um Well, the first thing I would say is when we first contacted Chris, we were in the throes of a covid pandemic. We were very nervous about the direction of our business. Um, because primarily we were a very large N SAS practise. Uh, and that was the starting point of our transition from moving away from the NHS towards a 100% private model. Um, but very quickly. Look what working with Chris and the extreme 100 did. It gave us business confidence. It gave us that confidence that we knew by making changes and getting involved with the group and taking the advice that was available to us. That definitely Look, it's not all doom and gloom that dentistry is a workable model that can work for your business. And as time went on, we realised very quickly that the programme was working for us. It not just worked in terms of financials. Obviously, that is important. But it worked in terms of the team. Uh, because bringing your team with you is one of the biggest things in business, and, uh, the different, um, information and material that's available as part of the extreme 100 group. Uh, definitely worked for a team as well. Um, so it's made a massive difference to us. Um, and I'm so glad that we got involved in the programme right from the word go.

What advice would you give to anyone watching this video and considering hiring Chris and joining his community?

Stuart Robinson: Uh, So what advice would you give to anyone watching this video and considering hiring Chris and joining his community? Well, from my personal view, I would advise anybody with a dental business that wants to drive it forward, wants to be progressive, wants to improve standards and wanted to improve your financials. I would get involved with CREss and the extreme 100 SAP. Uh, there's nothing wrong in my view of at least look getting involved. It's a small investment, but I can guarantee you I'll get benefits from that investment. And if you find after a period of time, there's no barriers to leaving the group or just move away from it if you feel that you're not getting the benefit from it, Um, but 100% I am now with the group over 2.5 years, and I still feel there's massive benefit for us moving forward. Um, and it's an investment that I think is one of the most important in terms of how we are developing. So I would strongly advise anybody with this interest to go ahead and join the group
