Speaker: Amanda Small, Business manager, Helens Bay Dental

Why were you looking for a business coach in the first place?

Amanda Small: We started coaching with Chris Barrow about 20 years ago, and the reason we needed a coach was because I had joined the business to try to expand and improve the services that we were offering.

What would you describe as the main benefits of membership of The Extreme Business 100 community?

Amanda Small: the benefits of being in the 100 group, I would say access to local team training days in Northern Ireland. That's quite challenging. Usually it's great we can take our team along to really interesting events every quarter. Um, another thing would be full access to Chris and his network of people, um, at any at any point in time, Um, we have a community of local experts, um, dental people that have been in the same working in the same community as ourselves. And there's always an answer on a WhatsApp group that we have, be it managers or owners. Um, that's good from the point of view of your local people. But it's also great where you can speak to people in other parts of the UK who have already encountered the issues that you might have had, and you can get support. Um, the other thing would be regular updates on all things that are new to dentistry. Chris does a webinar once a week, and it's always really interesting, and Q and a sessions need answers to questions that you maybe hadn't even thought of yet

What difference has working with Chris Barrow made?

Amanda Small: uh, at our practise. We have been working with Chris pretty much continuously for 20 years in in a number of different formats. But, uh, I would say the benefits just keep coming and they become marginal as you move along. But, um, a refresh is always good. So we see this as something that we would always do. Uh, it just keeps things fresh, and you might encounter new things to change. Or you might find that things have changed back. But, um, as a dental practise, we couldn't really operate without having someone with Chris's knowledge in the background. And we do also find it really useful to bring him into the practise, Um, maybe once a year to share more knowledge with the team.

What advice would you give to anyone watching this video and considering hiring Chris and joining his community?

Amanda Small: my advice to anyone watching this video and thinking about taking a part in Chris's 100 group, the very, very strong advice would be You can't afford not to. There's nothing you could spend the money on better than joining this group, and I think it would be beneficial from the minute you join.
