Speaker: Niña Clarisse Seraspe

Please introduce yourself in a couple of sentences.

Niña Clarisse Seraspe: Hi, my name is Nina Clarisa Rape. I am applying for the accounting analyst position. I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in financial accounting. I have at least 10 years of experience when it comes to security process and then a couple of years of experience in bank credit card and other subleased reconciliation processes. I am a fast learner. I am highly independent but I can also uh work with team. And then as for based on my former manager's feedback to me, uh she mentioned that I am a resilient person. So when it comes to challenges, I focus more on resolving the issues rather than dwelling it. So with my former uh employer, we are with shared services. I stayed there for at least 3.5 years. But unfortunately, the reason why I ended my contract there is that the upper management decided to cease its operation and then transfer all of the processes in India. So I would say that my biggest accomplishments with Verley is that I led uh multiple account migrations. So during the merger, I I, we acquired multiple accounts that needed to be transferred and to be streamlined with our process. So with a streamlined process in terms of uh bank reconciliation and other sub leisure processes. So I acquired them and then I migrated those accounts up to hyper care period. And then uh afterwards, when uh the upper management decided to, they will have to transfer again those accounts to outsourcing company, which is based in India. I was also leading that time together with uh my 16 team members with me. So we successfully migrated those uh accounts to them up to hyper care period as well. So during my tenure uh as a senior analyst role, I was supervising and overseeing uh their daily uh bank and credit card reconciliation task and also on a weekly basis or monthly basis. Rather, I do uh check and review some of the uncleared open items before we, we do a reporting or monthly reporting with the uh in country finance which is uh based in US and Canada. And I also support them on their Black line reconciliation whenever they needed assistance. So I was doing as well the reconciliation myself. And then uh prior to that, I was initially hired as an E P analyst. So I was initially uh doing invoice processing up to weekly generation of reports and also supporting uh support for the issue resolution. So I was uh handling emails and then coordinating it with the requesters or in country finance for to discuss uh the disputed items. And then prior to worldly shared services. I worked with Linda Gas is R HQ. So I stayed there for at least six years. My experience there is mostly E P task. So I initially was initially hired as a support for procurement team doing delivery and uh acknowledgement follow ups and then generation of uh P O open items. And then before and then I was transferred to uh to pay uh process and then uh I was doing invoice management issue resolution, then uh payment process up to reconciliation. And then my last role there before I left the company is uh G R I resolution. So that's it for my uh background. Thank you.

What are your biggest strengths and weaknesses?

Niña Clarisse Seraspe: I would say that for my friends, it would be resilient and fast learner. So for resilient uh upon the observation of my former manager, she believed that uh every time that I encounter challenge or issue, I tend to focus more on resolving it than dwelling on it. And then whenever there are additional tasks that she had, she usually handed out handed over to me, I tend to welcome it more because I do believe that um gaining additional knowledge and skills will be, be, will be very beneficial to me in the future. So that's it. And then for being a fast learner, I actually tested that one, especially during the migration of the accounts when I was still with. So and it's also during pandemic that time. So there's no face to face interaction and then we migrated the accounts uh via teams only. So I set a session, one on one session with uh in country uh user at that time. So the one who usually who migrated the account, we just recorded it uh one time basis. And then whenever I have questions, I usually uh compile it first before sending it to them and then whenever uh times that I get confused, I just usually go back to our recording session. So that's it. And for my weaknesses, actually, for my weakness, I would say that whenever there are multiple tasks assigned to me, I get, I tend to get uh overwhelmed. But, but, but I taught myself on how to do uh on, on how to be more organized with my task and also do some coloring. So I won't forget anything and then I will be more uh productive in terms whenever uh there's an urgent task that needed to be done. I can't prioritize that one because I know that uh my normal task is actually uh calendar or uh polish already. So that's how I do it. So that's how I convert my weakness into strength. Thank you.

What is the professional achievement you’re most proud of?

Niña Clarisse Seraspe: Yeah, the professional achievement I am most proud of is um I would say with my two former employers. So my previous one is with, with World Share Services, which is based in Malaysia. So my manager entrusted me to uh handle and uh be involved in multiple migrations that time. So the first one is that when I was in uh as an E P analyst at time, she offered me to be involved in the migration of uh newly acquired accounts after the two companies merge. So the process is more on issue resolutions up to a weekly generation of proposal. So we acquire that and then streamline all the process with a shared service. And then after that, when I got uh when I was transferred in a bank credit card and also pleasure reconciliation team, she promoted me and then I was also leading uh multiple uh account migration in terms of banks. So back rec constellation process. So we acquired a, we've acquired also that and then streamline it with uh the current process that we have that time. And then the last one I would say is that when they decided to transfer all the accounts to in India team. We've also, I, I've also led that one together with uh my 16 members. So we were uh migrating those process during pandemic via teams up to uh up to Hypercare period. So that's it for, and then for Linda Gas Asia, I would say that uh I have uh routed all the processes and during my 10 year time I got promoted for at least three times, three or four times. Yeah, starting from being a contractor up to E P specialist. So that's it. Thank you.

What are the most important things you are looking for in your next role?

Niña Clarisse Seraspe: The most important things that I'm looking for in my next role is that um I would say honing more of my reporting skills because uh though I do have a background of a couple of years in terms of bank credit card and others of leisure reconciliations, uh the process that we had there is purely manual. So in terms of uh process improvements or other techniques on how to fasten the reporting, uh that's what I would like to uh learn or to look forward to if it uh involves automation, that will be better because uh since it's a growing company and then uh it's a fast phase one. So I think uh it's vital that uh we uh tend to report uh to record or uh do a reporting in a fast paced one as well. Yeah.

Why are you the right fit to succeed in this role?

Niña Clarisse Seraspe: I think I'm the right fit to succeed in this role based on my previous experiences and accomplishments with my former employers. Uh Though my experiences uh focuses more on prepared to pay processes and I only have a couple of years of experience when it comes to bank credit card and some pleasure reconciliation processes. I think it's an actual advantage because uh those two are linked together to one linked together. And then uh I would say that with my previous uh accomplishments, I think I can also apply that to this uh this company. So in terms of uh migration and then also uh streamlining of processes and I can also do some improvements if there are any areas of uh needed to be improved in the current tests. I can also be a support of that as well. I am also a fast learning learner, keen to details and also a resource driven person. So that's it. Thank you.
