Speaker: Lourjewel Ann Aguilar
Please introduce yourself in a couple of sentences.
Lourjewel Ann Aguilar: Hi, I am Laurie Juleanna Gill or I'm 35 years old and I'm definitely the type of person who goes out by the model of work hard and play hard. And, um, if I want to reset my mood, I just, um, travel because it gets me out of the house and it, um, keeps me excited every time I am, I am exposed to something new. So, with traveling, I was able to experience eating new foods that was not here in the Philippines and meet new friends as well. And right now I can speak a little bit of Japanese and German.
What are your biggest strengths and weaknesses?
Lourjewel Ann Aguilar: So, um my strengths are one, I am very disciplined. I always make sure that I always come on time. I'm always an hour or 30 minutes early before my shift. And two, I'm efficient. I make sure that I finished task given before the deadline. I always plan ahead and prioritized the things that needs more attention first and three, I am resilient. So whenever I encountered or experience um difficult uh task or a situation, even if it's a work related or personal life, I always bounce back. Um I always tell me, tell myself that see your failures as an opportunity, two, learn a lesson to grow and to be strong. And um how about my weakness? Well, my weakness is that I tend to be uh very shy and nervous person by nature. And I can say that um speaking publicly was not my strong asset, but it's always a work in progress. I always ask for my supervisor if I can discuss certain topics during our team meeting, so I can develop confidence over time.
What is the professional achievement you’re most proud of?
Lourjewel Ann Aguilar: So one of my biggest professional achievements started when I was hired in one of the most prestigious banks in the us. I can say it was really difficult to get in or to be hired because they have really strict guidelines and they filtered the candidates really well. And during my 6th year with that bank, I am proud to say that I'm one of those people um who polished the process in one of the L O B S under home lending. And I collaborated with my colleagues and we came up with the step by step procedure in doing the verification of employment and verification of home insurance that were under different agencies.
What are the most important things you are looking for in your next role?
Lourjewel Ann Aguilar: Okay. So there are three things things that I'm looking for in my next job. So it's a work life balance, 18 folk focused culture and career advancement to have a chance to learn more leadership skills over time. So after reading the description for job descript description for this role, um it sounds like it could be a good match for what I'm looking for. So I was really excited to be part of the team.
Why are you the right fit to succeed in this role?
Lourjewel Ann Aguilar: Well, um I'm really the right fit for this role because I have a significant amount of experience in banking industry. I was assigned to different appointment under home landing, most of it was for originations. So working for nine years for one of the top banks in the US are one of the achievements that I can be proud of. And during my stay in the banking industry, help me develop the skills that is needed for this role, especially by being strict with financial and customer data guidelines to avoid breaches and information misuse. So with this kind of role, integrity for me is really important at all times. So I can clearly understand the role and what the job entails. Um I can't imagine that working for you guys should be something that I would really be. Um I would really be excited and challenge at the same time. So there are a lot of challenges um that one must overcome to be an effective and whatever position that we are hired for. And that's where I can definitely help out
