Please introduce yourself in a couple of sentences.
Joseph Valenzuela: Hi, I am Joseph Valenzuela, a certified public accountant here in the Philippines with over 10 years of experience in accounting and procurement. Uh I have gained uh expertise and and and process of accounts payable uh retail accounting revenue, accounting, inter company, accounting preparation of tax compliance forms and procurement. Uh Based on my experience, I can confidently say that I am well equipped with technical knowledge and excellent customer service. I am also an expert in S A P Ariba Zero Quickbooks application. Um having to work in a business outsourcing company. I was able to gain experience in handling uh global customers while maintaining excellent financial services by having a good balance of solid work experience in finance and accounting from multinational companies. I believe I will be able to easily adapt to the past paced environment, different challenges and roles required for this job. I am a fast learner and have the ability to uh plan and prioritize tasks on hand and I am fully equipped with technical and interpersonal skills which I have developed throughout my career. What are your biggest strengths and weaknesses?
Joseph Valenzuela: I would say one of my greatest strength is my ability to pick things up very quickly. I am fast learner and very keen to acquire new skills. This means that I have always been very willing to take on extra responsibilities as I see it as an opportunity to learn more. Um One of my weaknesses is that I can be quite forgetful at times, particularly when I am required to juggle multiple task. I have noticed that if I am asked to do something and if I do not write it down straight away, I have a tendency to forget to do it. Therefore, I began to make a conscious effort to write everything down. Even the smallest of tasks since I started, started writing everything down and making to do list. I have noticed that I have become more organized and it has enabled me to prioritize tasks more effectively and I haven't missed a deadline since.
What is the professional achievement you’re most proud of?
Joseph Valenzuela: There was a time that I handled sourcing 1500 unique materials and spare parts and also engineering services before the scheduled shutdown of the offshore platform of Chaperon in Europe. This means that time is of the essence to complete the requirements because any delay on the materials needed will prolong the shutdown, resulting in company losses of revenue. Uh With a large amount of materials, I successfully completed the requirement two weeks ahead of time that leads to shortening the length of the shutdown. The company was able to save seven million US D on revenue losses because of early completion of this project. Since there was no one in the team who wants to step up for this project. I took the initiative to hand out this project. During this time, I have excelled in time management skills, coordination and collaboration and have heightened sense of urgency to ensure that I have deliver the project to meet the expected timeline. I was then recommended by my local counterparts for customer service and excellence award after this project.
What are the most important things you are looking for in your next role?
Joseph Valenzuela: Uh The most important thing that I am looking for in my next role is a work environment which I in which I can contribute to the team. Uh Receive appreciation for my contribution. Um I have job stability and the ability to grow with the company. Thank you.
