I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in electronics Engineering and a master's degree holder in manufacturing engineering both at Lasalle University. I have 15 years of experience managing data under multiple roles in the manufacturing industry. It resulted in hundreds and thousands of dollars in cost reduction and lead time reduction. I have experienced working with different cultures by successfully transferring products from multiple countries such as the USA Germany, the Netherlands and the UK, resulting in at least tripled revenue for the company. I even trained our teammates in Singapore with the newest strategies and practices for continuous improvement with these transfer projects. What are your biggest strengths and weaknesses?

Charlene Theresa Hernandez: As a first born, I have all my life to count on this experience in leading people. My parents were usually away since my mom works for real estate firms back then And I had to learn to manage the house, train or teach my brothers too and do problem solving and I take on responsibilities. People can say I'm too young for working for companies. I found that I was able to apply most of the inherent attitudes of being a leader from such a young age. I quickly rose from the ranks and become a manager at the age of 27 and I also successfully conquered the general manager role at 33 managing departments of different backgrounds and fields coming from the first level of position as an engineer and rising to become a GM. I can communicate with all levels of the organization and so for me, data interpretation however technical is the same plan, do check that repeat, I have foresighted what needs to be done in a general understanding of how to do it, I can translate every very technical data and be able to visualize it for top management and for customers. For my weakness, I am not fond of being the bad guy generally. I like building relationships. I try my best to be respectful of others. Since here in the Philippines it's not always about what you know but who you know I tend to make use of these relationships to see a different perspective on things without of course compromising said relationship. Unfortunately I learned early in my career that when I have a project, I am responsible and accountable for not just the success of the project, but also its failure, my knowledge is not just mine anymore and it should be the teams and that if there is anyone from the team that is not performing, I should be the bad guy and point them in the right direction. There are times when it was easy. However, the closer I was to a person, the harder it was to be the bad guy, I was able to overcome this. Over time, it wasn't walk in the park since every person is different, some are okay with being reprimanded, others, not some needs to be micromanaged, others hated. I trained myself to see how to work with them from the start and I found out how communication, early communication helps

What is the professional achievement you’re most proud of?

Charlene Theresa Hernandez: I have lots of projects, but the one I'm most proud of is setting up contacts Philippines as the general manager and employee number one from scratch. I was in charge from building acquisition, including contract review negotiation and government compliance to calculating resources required, which is not just limited to overhead. But I also had to ensure that all our inventory levels are within the costs threshold. I transferred critical processes from our facility in Buffalo New York and travel back and forth just to ensure that I have all the information needed to set up our manufacturing operations here in the Philippines, I was able to build a running facility from one employee with zero equipment to over 30 manpower with four production lines. In six months. In this project, I learned how fast I can adapt to cater to the business needs.

What are the most important things you are looking for in your next role?

Charlene Theresa Hernandez: Some of my hobbies include laser engraving, playing mind games and possible building. I also play team sports, such as valuable in badminton. I like to be in a work environment that constantly challenges my skills and problem solving and team building. I can spend hours trying to understand how data connects and how I can interpret it so I could visualize it for others. And so for me, it is important to be in a company that welcomes change and new ideas to have my own team or a department that I am responsible for and be able to influence to meet the company objective.

Why are you the right fit to succeed in this role?

Charlene Theresa Hernandez: If given the opportunity to fill this role, I can help e y t succeed through my deep understanding of data analytics, excellent communication skills and experience in team management and customer relations.
