Speaker: Catherine Soria
Please introduce yourself in a couple of sentences.
Catherine Soria: Hello, good morning. My name is Katherine Sawa. I am 31 years old. I'm a registered nurse, but after I passed the board exam, I immediately work in B P O industry as customer service. My longest experience was with Citigroup Business Process Solutions where in I handled checking savings, certificate of deposit, as well as uh loan accounts. Here, I uh became a um client relations unit supervisor where in I uh handled escalations resolution for client concerns. I was also or I also train new hire for product knowledge and services skills and uh discuss business improvement with our internal clients. That's all. Thank you.
What are your biggest strengths and weaknesses?
Catherine Soria: All right. So what are my biggest strengths and weaknesses? Well, my biggest strength is uh well eagerness to help and resolve our clients concern. And uh aside from that, I want to make sure that I am providing a quality customer service as well as I am also very keen with details and all the information that I provide. I make sure that the all the important or all the details are correct because um well being a registered nurse, I handle patients, I handle the their lives. So it's really very important for me to not to commit any mistake. So I make sure that I am able to check and make sure that all the information that I input on the system or all the details that I provide are correct and the weaknesses. Um well, based on my experience, one of, I mean, the my ma my major weakness is really with my handle time because I really spend a lot of time with our clients. I want to make sure that I'm able to listen to them and that just simply interrupt them and provide to them the resolution. So that's really my um weakness but um the end, the result is that uh my clients are happy because I am able to somehow have them provide what they feel, have them vent out what they feel. And then by the end of the day, I'm able to really provide them as well a resolution. Thank you.
What is the professional achievement you’re most proud of?
Catherine Soria: Professional achievement that I am most proud of is being a registered nurse. Why? Because it helped me or it brought me to this kind of position, I was able to work in customer service. And even if let's say, for example, it's not related to nursing, I somehow applied all the things that I've learned in nursing, special or particularly um patients. I mean, I'm able to apply this kind of patience to all the clients that I handled over the phone. And aside from that being keen as well with the details being so particular and making sure that I don't want to commit any mistake. Because when I was in the field of nursing, I am trained or we were trained, nurses are trained not to commit any mistake or any error or else you'll end up having a dead patient. So I'm really so proud of being a nurse. I'm able to apply it to all the jobs that, that I that I applied for particularly um in customer service. Thank you.
What are the most important things you are looking for in your next role?
Catherine Soria: Most important things I'm looking for in my next role. Well, first, I want to share my knowledge, I want to showcase the or all the knowledge, all the information that I got from my previous job. I want to um somehow show and make sure that I'm a perfect fit for this role. Second, I'm really looking forward and I'm really excited as well to learn new things. And also, well, this would be a working up. I mean, working in progress as of now. Um I, I want to of course, learn all the things about the role that I have to, I mean, about the, I want to learn more with this um new role that I will get from this job and I want to really improve and also like accelerate on the ladder. I mean, I'm really looking forward for of course, a promotion, but that I, I'm gonna do it one step at a time. I mean, I, I don't want to just simply dump and then say that I want to be promoted. I, I want to really work hard for it. I mean, I, I want to, of course, I want to really, I, I'm really looking forward to be promoted. It's just that I want to make sure that I work hard for it, that I'm a perfect fit for that particular promotion. That's what I'm really looking for. Thank you.
Why are you the right fit to succeed in this role?
Catherine Soria: Why are you the right fit to succeed in this role? Why? First of all experience, I've been in financial industry for more than seven years. I handle checking savings certificate of deposit and I also handle mortgage and the loan account. So I see that already as a right fit for this particular role because of my experience, aside from that, I'm a registered nurse and I'm really so particular when it comes to committing mistakes because during my college days, when we were on our duties in the hospital, we were trained not to commit any mistake, not to commit any error. Why? Because we're handling lives. If we can make one mistake, there is a possibility that we can kill our patient. That's why I was able to apply that in my work in customer service with the previous job that I got. That's why if we're going to uh tech, I've stayed with Citibank for more than seven years and I really use that and make sure that um I avoid committing mistakes because I mean, yes, there are some instances that I committed mistakes, especially when it comes with checking the documents. But I made sure that it never happened again because that's something that I really want to avoid. I, I don't want to commit any mistake that could somehow or that could really destroy our client's account. So that's something that I can see as a perfect fit for this role. Thank you.
