Speaker: Carolyn MEDINA Reynoso

Please introduce yourself in a couple of sentences.

Carolyn MEDINA Reynoso: Hi, my name is Caroline Emo from, from Philippines. My friends used to call me Kay, a single mom. I would like to take a couple of minutes to tell you why hiring will be a benefit to your organization. I am a graduate of P S Accountancy in Philippines School of Business Administration from Manila and have 22 years of experience in accounting mostly in B P O insurance services. My car competencies includes accounts receivable, the end to end process accounts payable including a P help desk and collections.

What are your biggest strengths and weaknesses?

Carolyn MEDINA Reynoso: My greatest strength is attention to detail. I've always been detailed oriented in my work and it's something that I enjoy with. I saw on your job description that this role involves a lot of detailed oriented work, which is one of the reasons why I have life. My greatest weakness is that sometimes focus too much on the details of a project and spend too much analyzing the finer points. I've been striving to improve in this area by checking it with myself at a regular intervals and giving myself a chance to refocus on a bigger picture. That way I can still ensure quality without getting so caught up in the details that it affects my productivity or the team's ability to meet the deadline.

What is the professional achievement you’re most proud of?

Carolyn MEDINA Reynoso: My professional achievement that I'm proud of is when I manage the team having two nationalities at once in two different location. With my previous job, I have been dealing with 25 FTEs composed of Latinos and agents. As you may know, not all Indians are well versed in English language, which is really a big challenge on my end. Since the process includes collections, I have to be very keen in explaining to them the process, especially that I am also the sme for the process and the operations manager for Manila's site as well. I have to have a long patience at work to ensure that I will be able to hit our target without escalations. And luckily, with my effort with my team, we were able to reduce the past due balances, which we assume from prior BT O company. I'm so proud that all past due balances from 2017 were paid off and were able to maintain the account on current status with minimal accounts that is still under investigation with the client.

What are the most important things you are looking for in your next role?

Carolyn MEDINA Reynoso: I'm looking for four things in my next job. Number one is a positive team to work in where everyone has a can do attitude. Number two, a supportive manager who is prepared to listen and consider any ideas that I put forward and appreciate my efforts. Number three, a diverse work environment where I can learn from other people and last an exclusive company culture where there is an equal opportunity for everyone are the things that I wanted to look forward for my next role.

Why are you the right fit to succeed in this role?

Carolyn MEDINA Reynoso: I am confident that I'm a good fit for this job for several reasons. But most specifically because of my dedication to going above and beyond in a job, I am committed to learning any new skills on my own to succeed on this role. For example, for my previous job, I educated myself how to be more detailed at work, to ensure that I will find the right answers and to find ways to collect money for those accounts that have not been resolved for the longest time. I know that you are seeking a self motivated individual for this job and I am that candidate.
