Brenda McDowell: My favorite teacher was Shirley Dixon. She was our business math teacher at Somerville High school. My sister and I were in the same class, but I would almost go in once a week, twice a week. Oh, look at my new shoes. Look at my new shoes. She said I'd walk in there and she'd say, oh, show me your new shoes. She was just a wonderful teacher. She kept the students constantly engaged. She was just one of a kind. She was just awesome. Everybody just loved her. She was like the most friendliest teacher that they had. Everybody loved her. She was always getting high comment, positive comments from each students and stuff. She was just a great teacher. And if I could be anything like her, I wish I could. She was just that awesome. Thank you, Miss Dixon. You're always in my heart.
