Speaker: Scott Kelsey
What brought you to Ethan Health?
Scott Kelsey: I'm Scott. I'm an alcoholic. Um, what brought me to Ethan Health was I wanted to do something different with my life. I was not happy with the way things were going and I was not happy about how I felt about myself and I'd been to treatments, uh, before, but I had decided that doing the same thing over and over again wasn't working. So I decided to do something different and come out to Richmond and, uh, give Ethan Health a shot.
Could you describe your experience at Ethan Health?
Scott Kelsey: My experience at Ethan Health has been uh nothing but positive. Uh the staff is genuine um with a small client base right now. So you get face time with all the staff and they get to know you and I think they genuinely um take into account your needs and even some wants to um nothing but positive experience here at Ethan Health.
How has your life changed since beginning your recovery journey at Ethan Health?
Scott Kelsey: Since coming to Ethan Health, completing the residential program, getting settled into, um, the sober living and taking part in the IOP class. My life has changed quite a bit but, uh, in the beginning it was a level of acceptance that I've seldom had. It's, uh, something that, you know, I've always had reservations in my mind whether I, uh, admit it or not. But I think now since coming to Ethan health, I've really had a level of acceptance of, um, you know, my condition and just a willingness to do something about it that I did not have before. And, uh, I'm grateful for that today.
What are your hopes for the future?
Scott Kelsey: So, uh my hope for the future is, um you know, really just to continue on the path that I've started here at Ethan Health. Um, you know, stay plugged into the recovery community, um stay in touch with positive, supportive people, um you know, and use my experience to help others. But, uh I'm really grateful for Ethan Health.
