Speaker: Chad Peplinski, Chief Media Officer

What is one piece of advice you’d give for more purposeful working -- or something you’ve implemented for better meeting efficiency?

Chad Peplinski: Trust your team and trust your people. We're part of a large organization, and your team or department might be required for a meeting for any number of reasons. Sometimes people want to include multiple layers within a team just for that discussion. But conflicts and other needs can pull people in a lot of different directions. If you've trained your people well, and you've given them the right tools to be successful, you may not need to attend. So let them take the lead for your functional area or get back to you via email or a scheduled one on one. Then you can get an update and you didn't have to spend the time in the meeting.

What would YOU do with extra time back in your day?

Chad Peplinski: Eat at an appropriate time. No, actually, the extra time would allow for digging a little deeper into every initiative and project I'm working on. You can take a little more time and be more thorough with everything. You know, you take a little extra time for a email response, working on a report, a presentation, etc., can make a big difference when communicating with any of your peers or directly with the client.
