Introduction: tell us your name and job role

Andrew Ross: Hi, my name is Andrew Ross and I'm the Director of Administration at the Richmond Walder School in Richmond, Virginia.

What were you doing before E3, and what's changed since?

Andrew Ross: This is actually the second school that I've used E3 at. I brought it to a school that I was a part of in Boise, Idaho. whenever I came to this school, there was definitely a, a gap when it came to some of the needs that I knew E3 could provide. So I shared that with a task force that was reviewing and looking at some of our emery operations plan. And quickly they became very keen to this as a way to be able to contribute as a tool, an asset to our mercy operations plan and it's been going smoothly. We've already used it in a couple of our, our drills and I'm just really thankful to the sense of security that this particular program has when it comes to the safety of our campus.

What do you like most about E3 and why?

Andrew Ross: When it comes to features of E3, I truly believe that it offers so many things that are helpful to us as a school. One of the things that I think I was most connected to right away was the campus mapping knowing that at any given time whenever we were in the middle of a drill or an alert, I could be able to know um any of the employees and staff on campus where they were and if they were safe, being able to take from that information, the chat feature to be able to know how we can be able to continue to communicate in various alerts is absolutely phenomenal and just so thankful for what it has to offer. I feel as though that they continue to just find more and more ways to improve their product. And I'm just really thankful for how in which we've been able to incorporate it as a tool as a part of our emergency operations plan in our school.

How was the training/onboarding experience?

Andrew Ross: The on boarding process to the training for E3 was incredibly seamless. The E3 team is incredibly patient through every aspect of working with staff members that have varying levels of understanding around technology. And it's pretty quick, I feel as though that it's very straightforward as a program but being able to give space for teachers to and staff to become familiar with it and take their time knowing that they can do one on one sessions if needed. But majority of my staff were able to do it when we were in a group setting, which made it really easy to be able to roll out. So the training features and opportunities that E3 has to offer is just, it's, it's it's very much at a high level and really appreciate it, makes it a lot easier for me to be able to do my work, knowing that part of me is to be able to serve as an advocate for the program and not always having to serve as the the training side of it. So they definitely take that on and, and do it well.
