Speaker: Christine Maxwell-Hart, Project Consultant, Cisco Systems
Introduce yourself and tell us who you are and what you do or responsibilities are for Cisco.
Christine Maxwell-Hart: Hello, I'm Christine Maxwell Hart and I am a Project Consultant with Cisco and I work with the OneTen program.
What have been your needs and how has EduSerc fulfilled those needs. Describe the impact EduSerc has made on your company.
Christine Maxwell-Hart: In March of 2022 we had a need to hire a vendor to facilitate some training for us. We interviewed several different vendors and in the end we selected EduSerc. We needed training for our hiring managers, diversity training for our hiring managers. And we needed Microsoft Suites as well as re-skilling and upskilling for our OneTen hires. I am so happy that we hired EduSerc because they have done an amazing job. Brian Smith was our primary trainer and I am so happy. Well, we are all so happy that he did this training for us because our hiring managers as well as our new hires in the OneTen program have been very engaged and very pleased with the training that they have received. We are really, really happy that EduSerc has been able to integrate and be a part of our team because again, we're really pleased with the training that they have done for us and happy to partner with them.
In terms of training for hiring managers, how has EduSerc added value through Diversity and Inclusion initiatives.
Christine Maxwell-Hart: In terms of adding value for our hiring managers with the diversity and inclusion training, that was easy and I think did a home run there because Brian as the trainer took a lot of time to get to know the hiring managers, he tailored the content for the hiring managers and he also brought lots of examples and props and it was very thought provoking for the hiring managers and it kept everyone engaged. And again, he did a great job.
What is so unique about EduSerc and what has been the impact on employees being trained?
Christine Maxwell-Hart: What's so unique about EduSerc for me is that we have black trainers, that's not always the case. Most of the time when you go into training, you have people of another race training are black employees and having a black trainer for our new hires was very, very important because they were comfortable. They were able to ask questions of someone that looked like them. The impact, on our employees is that they are more efficient. They're able to go into their department with lots of knowledge and they are prepared.
Would you recommend EduSerc to design workforce development trainings for other organizations, and if so, why?
Christine Maxwell-Hart: I would definitely recommend EduSerc to other organizations because they have done an awesome job with our team. They are flexible, they are knowledgeable. They come to the table prepared, they're not afraid to ask questions. They take time with the employees and they take time with the hiring managers. EduSerc is just a well-oiled machine.
