Speaker: Prof. Dr. Tjalf Ziemssen, Dir Center of Clinical Neuroscience, University Clinic Carl Gustav Carus Dresden
What inspired you to be part of the Scientific Programme at ECTRIMS 2022?
Prof. Dr. Tjalf Ziemssen: So I think it's a great pleasure to have the chance to meet in person or to participate in the digital format. I particularly look very much forward to meeting a lot of friends and colleagues. Personally, ECTRIMS is the best and most informative MS meeting. That is due to the fact that all important "MS-ologists" are there, we can exchange. And of course, we have great lectures. All innovative topics are covered. I, for example, will speak about digital technology. So we have developed in Dresden, a universe of, digital tools, digital analysis, digital twin. And I will be very happy to present, our attempts to monitor MS in a better format to predict disease. And that's why I hope I will meet you and you will attend our session on Friday about digital interventions.
What key insights do you plan to share during your session?
Prof. Dr. Tjalf Ziemssen: Our session on Friday is about e-health, so Scientific Session 14 you should not miss. So we know that e-health technology in digital tools can improve the care and health care management of people with multiple sclerosis. And we would like to present tools and opportunities on how this could be brought into clinical practise. So we will have two parts, one part on e-health assessments, the other part on electronic health interventions in the case of multiple sclerosis. So both will be presented by
Riley Bove and me. Interestingly, we will have some short oral presentations dealing with this topic and giving some examples.
