Video Transcript

Speaker: Dr Stella Sivertseva, Tyumen Regional Center of Multiple Sclerosis

What key insights will you be sharing in your session?

Dr Stella Sivertseva: My name is Stella Sivertseva. I'm from Russia. I will comment on diseases such as infectious and somatic diseases, as well as how conditions associated to long-term use of medications can affect the severity of multiple sclerosis as it progresses. Increased severity of disability is not always associated with an increase in MS activity, since comorbid pathology can also impact the progression of multiple sclerosis. The aim of our work is to study the influence of cerebrovascular disease on the cause of MS. The patients were examined in Moscow and in Tyumen to study the effect of cerebrovascular diseases in the progression of MS.

Why is MSMilan2023 such an important event for MS experts and neurologists?

Dr Stella Sivertseva: Physicians involved in multiple sclerosis are eager to participate in ECTRIMS in order to gain new knowledge approaches to therapy, new definitions to be used later in their practise.
