Speaker: Meaghan Test, 2021 Clinical Training Fellow

What inspired you to first apply for a fellowship programme with ECTRIMS?

Meaghan Test: The ECTIMS Clinical Fellowship programme seemed like an excellent opportunity to expand my knowledge of MS treatments as well as experience patient contact in a new and different environment. I hoped to bring new ideas and knowledge back to my home institute to further improve the level of care I provide and help advance my career in MS research and treatment.

What have been the key takeaways of your experience?

Meaghan Test: I have a better understanding of different approaches and have made lasting connections with researchers in my field.

How have you applied what you learned during the programme to your current role?

Meaghan Test: Since returning to my home institute, I've been able to propose alternative solutions for treatment, as well as consult with fellow clinicians from my Fellowship Institute for their input on difficult cases.

What makes the ECTRIMS fellowship programme unique?

Meaghan Test: Because ECTRIMS offers several fellowships within each distinct category, more of us have a chance for a successful application. And that is a real advantage in this competitive environment. And the support I received from the ECTRIMS team throughout the application and reporting periods made the process streamlined and stress free for me, especially while moving to a new city and a new institute.
