Hello, my name is Joanne Greer. I live in Martinsburg, West Virginia. I've been here for approximately going on 21 years with my husband, 4 children, and now I have, I have 3 grands. Having access to care, healthcare has been a blessing. I am. A diabetic, it's the prediabetes, then there's the type 2 diabetes. And then I came to find out that I was something called Lada L A D A. I used to take metformin, took it for many years, got sick from taking it, so sick, I ended up in the hospital, not necessarily from metformin, but for not managing my diabetes. After that hospital visit, I was able to find a good endocrinologist. And she had a feeling that I was not type 2. And so she did all the blood work. And it came back that I was 1.5, this latter. I'm insulin dependent now. That was a little challenging to accept. But here I am and I'm thankful that I'm able to, through insurance through my husband's job that I'm able to, get the supplies. Because I currently wear a pump, so I am very thankful. I'm very appreciative of the fact that it is available. Not everybody has access. But I'm very fortunate to be one that does.
