Sally : Hi, I'm Sally and I'm from Austin, Texas.
Can you show us an example of Draw Awesome artwork that you're pleased with?
Sally : Here's a pen and watercolour project that I just did. This was really a lot of fun. I was surprised that I could do so well and I really look forward to doing more portraits.
Before starting Draw Awesome, what was your level of art experience and what did you struggle with?
Sally : I started with Draw Awesome as a complete beginner. I hadn't done any art since high school and you know, just simple things. And I probably most struggled with... ... just general drawing - - not so much shapes and accuracy, but values... ...really struggled with values.
How do you think Draw Awesome has helped you?
Sally : I've always been a creative type, Draw Awesome has completely opened up the art world to me since I really hadn't done any art of this sort. I enjoy it very much and I really look forward to the release of every project. I say it's like Christmas Eve, the night before... I just can't wait to see what Phil has for us to do and to get started. And you know, people have definitely commented on my art and that they're so surprised that I can do as well.
Finally, what do you like most about Draw Awesome?
Sally : I really like how thorough Draw Awesome is. We cover each medium for several weeks and so you can really get a feel for it. And I like the fact that the lessons are videod - you can really see what Phil's doing and you can stop, you can rewind, you can rewatch, you can... ...you know, work it with it as long as you want. There's no time pressure and the videos are really professionally done. But yet it's not stuffy! Phil keeps it fun and light and it's really affordable. I love that part!
