Lynn : Hello My name is Lynn and I'm from Florida.

Before starting Draw Awesome, what was your level of art experience and what did you struggle with?

Lynn : Before starting Draw Awesome, I did a lot of acrylic painting, watercolour, painting individual classes at different places. And then when the virus came about, I joined Art Tutor and did that until they decided to start with Draw Awesome. So some of the problems I had, of course, is when you're trying to learn things on your own, you don't really improve because you don't know what you're doing wrong. So both experiences, both with Art Tutor and Draw Awesome, have been wonderful. And I've learned a lot.

How do you think Draw Awesome has helped you?

Lynn : I would say that overall my art has included a number of areas. I feel that the Draw Awesome Course has helped me the most because no matter what medium you used, whether it was watercolour, coloured pencil or even acrylic, it's a good basis to have and the output to your artwork is even better, knowing that you've drawn it yourself or you've had some minimum input into the drawing. I also look forward to the projects but also enjoy the Rest Week because it gives me time to catch up a little bit finish a project, or rest a little bit. Certainly, taking these courses online has been a life-saver for me because I'm not as mobile as I used to be and it keeps me very active. So I really appreciate having the opportunity to participate in these types of classes.

Finally, what do you like most about Draw Awesome?

Lynn : One of the things that's really important about this class is the instruction and Phil is a very good instructor. He takes his time to explain things to you. He has rest periods for you to take a break, you know and to come back to it when you're up to it. And I think that's very important because it's sometimes very hard when you're learning how to do something. You're concentrating so hard you get a little bit tired. But you're able to stop recording when you feel that way or when you have a break and that's so important. He's very encouraging - - he always reassures you that "look your artwork might look different from mine, you know, your colours might be a little bit different, or whatever" and that's very encouraging for people who are trying to learn how to do something, Y'know.
