Speaker: Lynn , UK
Lynn : Hello, my name is Lynn and I live in the UK.
Can you show us some of your Draw Awesome artwork that you're most pleased with?
Lynn : These are some sketches I did in the pen module - it's a medium I've never used before and found I thoroughly enjoyed it. And later on we went on to do a sketch with pastel and ink, and this - I was really very pleased with - and I do love the subject.
Before starting Draw Awesome, what was your level of art experience and what did you struggle with?
Lynn : Before I found Draw Awesome, I used Art Tutor because during the lockdown I decided I wanted to explore art. I couldn't draw anything at all, except perhaps an elephant in two dimensions! Anything else was really a bit beyond me.
So, how do you think Draw Awesome has helped you?
Lynn : Joining the Draw Awesome group was like opening a door for me.
Lynn : Now, the family are always pleased to see what I've done. Sometimes they find it funny. Not always! But having started with the basic drawing, I have now learned to use six mediums and once a week I rush to my computer to open the email that says whether I'm starting a new project or a rest week and so on and I am thoroughly enjoying it. It's hard work and you have to really work hard to get the most out of it. And I feel I'm doing that. I wouldn't stop it for the world.
Finally, what do you like most about Draw Awesome and would you recommend it to others?
Lynn : Joining Draw Awesome has been a great experience for me. I've developed some of my skills, and I welcome the new module every time it comes out and the other artists who are part of Draw Awesome are a very supportive group.
Lynn : And yes, I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who has any interest in drawing art or painting, or anything like that.
