David : Hi my name is David and I'm from Marblehead Massachusetts.
Can you show us an example of work you've produced with Draw Awesome?
David : Here is my pen and ink sketch of the sketch of the Iguana. This is a subject that I never would have attempted prior to taking this class, and I'm very pleased with the way it came out - a lot more detail. One of the things that I'm learning is more patience, so that I can get through a complicated sketch like this - and like I said, I'm very pleased with the way this came out.
Do you regard yourself as a newcomer or someone with a little more experience?
David : I have never had any formal lessons up until this point, but I have been sketching off and on since I was a child, and most recently, more consistently for the last 20 years, mostly doing pencil sketches with coloured pencil work as well.
As you've been sketching for a number of years, why did you decide to join Draw Awesome?
David : My goal for this class was to be able to sketch anything and everything that I saw, and I feel confident now that I'm in module D that I'm getting closer to that goal.
So would you recommend Draw Awesome to others?
David : I am enjoying this course in large part due to Phil's manner of teaching and his style. I think he does an excellent job. I really enjoy all the different - using all the different mediums and the emphasis on the drawing and sketching, which is why I took the course in the first place. And would I recommend it? Not only would I - but I have to some of my friends. And thank you.
