Liam : Hello, I'm Liam from the UK living in Altrincham, near Manchester. Nice to meet you!

Can you show us some of your Draw Awesome artwork that you're most pleased with?

Liam : These are a couple of my works that I think turned out well.

Liam : I think I enjoyed doing those and I don't think I would have considered such work without these lessons and they've given me a lot of pleasure and things that I'm quite proud about.

Before starting Draw Awesome, what was your level of art experience and what did you struggle with?

Liam : I've no real experience. I've done a few of your 'Learn to Draw' Courses and I've won one prize with a piece of work and so that's encouraged me to keep going. I keep getting nudged by somebody here, who wants to get in on the action. I think it's because it's her tea-time!

How do you think Draw Awesome has helped you?

Liam : Yeah, I've improved a lot - - mainly confidence I think. Trying all the different ways and methods gives confidence to try other things. I would have never imagined using ink and watercolour or pastels. And I'd only ever thought about using acrylic paint. But we haven't used that yet, so maybe we will. I don't know. And so each time we change and move to a different project, it's great to think I'm gonna try that. Try the other. Makes me a bit apprehensive about what comes next. Although the piece that we just did where it was our own choice, which methods we used. I think we got carried away and wanted to try and use everything, which might be a bit of a drawback I suppose! But it gives me a lot of pleasure. And it's very good, I think, for making somebody think about things, have patience... ...actually try to construct something and then have people look at it and say, "That was good Liam!" Thank you.

So, what are some of the things you like most about Draw Awesome and would you recommend it to others?

Liam : What do I like most about Draw Awesome? I think it allows us to proceed at our own speed. You know, some are producing work alongside or outside the course at the same time. It's interesting to see what other people are doing and how they are overcoming their difficulties, or the skill levels that some people are already at or developing along the same path. I like Phil's approach to demonstrating and showing us the various methods and allowing us to slow the recordings, speed the recording... ...you know, make the most of whatever it is that we've got really. And the price is okay. It's reasonable for personal tuition in this way. So yeah, I've enjoyed it very much and I would certainly recommend it to anybody, as a way into drawing and art or as a way to develop drawing and art as a passion, as an interest, as a hobby. Whatever you want to make it, I guess. It can be as big or as small as you want it to be and you can go back and revisit the pieces that you've done or change them into something else. So it's very valuable and I am enjoying it and hopefully, will continue to enjoy it! Thank you!
