Three magical words to help you with open ended questions. Those three magical words are, "To What Extent" If you're having trouble with a closed ended question, just add "To What Extent" in front of it. So instead of "Do you find this helpful?" turn it into "Bob, To what extent do you find this helpful for your team, If at all?" Or "Do any of these problems resonate with you?" - "Bob, based on the problems that people are sharing with us, I'm curious 'to what extent' any of these problems resonate with you, if at all?"
