What are your core skills and how do you stay current?

Mark Anthony Soniega: Hi there, how my name is Mark and all of that. My skills are actually acquired through the years of working for different companies. I started my work career with the BPO industry and I actually thought before that my english was real good upon getting into this job being a representative or a T. One representative for an internet company in the US. I learned a lot actually sharpen my skills speaking english, so it was my vocabulary and from then on I also climbed the ladder. So being promoted that means additional job. So I have to work with spreadsheets for for my agents and things like that. And through the years I was working there um my now wife actually encouraged me to try remote work or work from home. So we both are doing it or we have done it until the pandemic came which actually affected the entire you know the entire world. And with that being said um we actually decided to sharpen some skills that we could use. Um Youtube actually helped a lot with that. So um finally um jump opening scheme was able to land some jobs with different companies. One company as for a water heater in the US as well. And another is a pet product, a newly launched product, so with being a virtual assistant, it actually um you're being required to do different tasks and handle different tools. I didn't even know s. A. S means this is the first time that I heard it from you when I applied to your job posting which as a matter of fact I have been using already with these jobs like say for example Canberra Canberra, I didn't really know what Canada is before until I was helping uh social media management for one of my clients before and basic graphic design using of Crm like Aguirre Zendesk and and things like that um I was very fortunate that my managers or the Ceo or the owners of this company were very helpful uh they actually guided me of course, I also put in some work learning in these new things, new tools that we are using for the job and I'm just very grateful for all the skills that they have been part of me and uh yeah, so to stay current of course there's always gonna be Youtube, there's still gonna be like things to learn there so whenever I don't understand something, I go to Youtube, especially if it's very new to me secondly um though I haven't really had the time or opportunity to finally give it a try, I've heard about um master skills or master master class that is and yeah, I'm more than willing to actually, we're actually contemplating on enrolling in such classes to further enhance our skills

What tools or processes do you use to stay organised/productive?

Mark Anthony Soniega: So at work have used different types of tools, organizational tools. That is of course there's still gonna be google dogs. We have trail, Oh, we have Zira, I have tried those with different companies and of course the Microsoft. One note, um those are the things mainly that I use to keep track of tasks, deliverables in the likes. It's quite funny though that although I'm quite old school, I really am personally more into sticky notes notebook, but I have finally embraced this organizational tools online and I was able to work through it, using it to the best of my ability to be able to deliver things.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Mark Anthony Soniega: you know what I'm really enjoying doing remote work um as far as I can imagine, I don't know, it has something to do probably with this or everything being new to me, like learning a lot of things that I previously didn't uh didn't know or previously, um I don't have any idea about, um all the things I'm trying to absorb everything that I could actually to further enhance whatever I have now, like skills um that I gained through experience, plus I'm very, very fortunate and very um um thankful for the chance of working with people, especially workmates, even bosses actually that have very much considered the team, like a family wherein you look forward every day to work with them, of course, it's still going to be professionally though, but you know, the feeling that you enjoy what you do, you enjoy the people that you work with, like to speak with them every day, like even if it's just zoom meeting, you know, it's this is fun. Um it was very fun, although it's sad to say though that some of the projects that I've done previously um when, when a project becomes stable or a startup project that has become stable, uh lesser jobs that you would have, but when you said on your job posting that you're looking for someone who would like to grow within the company. Well, I did anticipate growing with the company offering, my loyalty is, I guess one of my strongest suits. Mhm
