Speaker: J. S., Paying off all debt, achieving goals, eliminating financial stress!
What are your biggest successes you have experienced in your financial coaching journey with Cross Shield?
J. S.: Two things come to mind on, on successes. First being able to, to pay off our credit card debt and then our, our vehicle, our relatively new vehicle um pretty quickly due to Rudy's help. It was uh that's a big win for us to have to be out from under that. Um It enabled us to then be able to route that money to things like sending our, our daughter to a great school and uh paying for braces and things that just needed to be done and not have to go into debt for it. And so that, that's, those are big wins and probably even more important, just the, the unity and the, the lack of anxiety between my wife and I uh in terms of our finances, what we have, where it's going, how it's being used just um a major win being that we feel a lot more peace and um and joy when it, when it comes to, to looking at all that God's provided for us and what we're able to do with it.
What makes Cross Shield different from other similar services that help people with their financial goals?
J. S.: You know, we really sensed that we needed the hand holding, we needed someone that could get into the, the nitty gritty of the budget with us uh to help us uh communicate well together. My wife and I and to, to really pay closer attention to what was coming in and what was going out and where it was going and just organizing the budget and developing routines and habits. It sounds in a lot, a lot of ways simple and um but, but we, for us, it was, that was a difficulty. And so Rudy coming alongside of us patiently kind of walking us through step by step, how to go about having a budget, sticking to a budget paying off debt, starting to, to set aside uh emergency funds and savings and uh just taking it one step at a time. So that was really what we felt we needed. And um what we've seen paying off here as we've, we've been working with cross shield for uh about two years now, I think.
