What do you hope teachers will take away from this course?
Betsy Butler: Hi, I'm Betsy Butler and I'm the course creator for course 5147: Bringing Your Students from Unfinished Learning to Soaring Achievement. This course focuses on mastery, acceleration, and tutoring in order to determine ways that students can move forward and kind of tap into the learning recovery that is needed post pandemic. I like that this course has specific strategies that can get you on track and it also has supportive frameworks that allow you to support your students in academic and social emotional ways.
What do you love about this course?
Betsy Butler: I love that this course goes beyond academics as well to make sure that we are practicing equity, making sure that all the vulnerable students are able to be accounted for and also individually assisted as they push towards their learning recovery and then also ways to help students with special needs to get what they need in order to succeed post pandemic. I think that a lot of times we focus on that learning recovery and the benchmarks that that requires. But it's also important to make sure that students are getting the support they need in the way that they need it, whether that be academic or social emotional in order to succeed with their learning recovery goals.
