Introduce yourself

Matthew Oseto: Hi, I'm Doctor Matthew Oseto, a general orthopedic surgeon working in Mount Lake Terrace, Washington. I do general orthopedics and also see patients with hypermobility and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I've been in practice for 15 years and really enjoy my work.

What do you specialize in?

Matthew Oseto: I've trained as a general orthopedic surgeon but currently specialize in nerve releases in the upper and lower extremities. The vast majority of our patients in this clinic have hyper mobility issues and or are on the EDS spectrum. These patients in particular tend to benefit from the nerve release procedures.

What is your approach to your practice?

Matthew Oseto: My approach to practice being a general orthopedic surgeon is to continue treating the entire patient. I enjoy being able to take care of all facets of the patient's orthopedic needs. In addition, we've started to do more nerve release and decompressions, which adds a new level to our treatment options. I also try to spend a lot of time with patients and will make longer appointments. Now that I'm in my own practice and can control the flow of patients in and out of our clinic. Most patients seem to really appreciate this.

What is unique about Connective Strength?

Matthew Oseto: What is unique about connective strength. Connective strength is a unique organization and I'm very happy to be a part of it. As a founding board member, we try to keep connective strength, very positive and informative period. Some of our missions are to educate other providers, physical therapists and other practitioners in the medical field. We want to bring awareness of EDS and hypermobility issues to these groups. We also try to provide support and education to patients who are newly diagnosed with hypermobility and or EDS.
