Who are you and what do you do at Conduent?
Merly Sandoval: Hello, my name is Merly Sandoval. I'm the global leader for transit implementations and I've been with Conduent for 13 years.
How has Conduent supported you in your role?
Merly Sandoval: The way that Conduent and has supported my growth professionally as a woman is by taking me into account for my contributions for the idea that I was bringing to the table for making me feel comfortable to sharing them every single time and, and for making me part of the team equally as, as any other man in any other geography in any other country. And just being seen as an equal to my peers.
How have you felt empowered in your role at Conduent?
Merly Sandoval: Looking back is very hard to pinpoint just one moment. But there's one that I remember very distinctly when I really felt empowered as a woman is when I was offered the opportunity years ago to be the manager of a team that was completely domestic, I was not only the, the only person in, in our team that was a woman, but I was also from one of our offshore locations that I was there was a, a specific time when I, when I felt very proud to be a woman to be a Latina. And it just helped me to confirm that I was in the right place where opportunities would be opened for the contributions that you brought into a table where I felt like I could really make a difference and where I felt like, you know, the experience in that industry that I had honed up until that time was really seen and, and I was appreciated as a valuable team member of the group.
