What does being a mother mean to you?
Karen Cardenas: Being a mother has been the best trip of my life. It has just started five years ago but it feels like a whole life to me. It shows me fears that I didn't know I could have. It shows me the strengths that make me feel powerful like a Wonder Woman. I know it does not define me as a person, but this experience is something that I could never treat for anything.
How has Conduent supported you in your role as a mother?
Karen Cardenas: The company is committed to being inclusive, flexible, responsible for the motherhoods. My managers and directors have been very supportive to me. They understand that we can live our lives, our personal life and deliver a great job at the same time. And that's great.
Share a tip for all working moms
Karen Cardenas: Hey moms. Ok. Mental health priority. Say "no" more often in your daily life organize the best you can, don't worry just do your best. Make some time for you. Read, go for a walk, read a book just be there by yourself but do it for you, you know you are the only mom for your kids. So if mom is, if mom is fine, your kids are gonna be fine.
