Erich Alderfer: My favorite part about working at Conduent is that I feel like my performance and my success is acknowledged and rewarded. And my favorite thing is helping people with the issues they have. People often call in really frustrated and by the end of the call, they're thanking me and I feel a sense of satisfaction that I was able to make a difference in their life.
How do you normally start your day and what does your typical day look like?
Erich Alderfer: I start my day with a big breakfast and a big cup of coffee after clocking in. Most of my day is spent taking calls just one after another, helping all sorts of people with all sorts of issues.
What is the purpose of your job / the impact your work has on those you serve?
Erich Alderfer: The purpose of my job is to help people with technical issues they may be having on various different devices. The impact I have depends on the issue. Sometimes people call in with minor issues. Other times, they are much larger and may have a significant impact on their life.
How does Conduent make you feel valued?
Erich Alderfer: Kind of it makes me feel valued because I feel like I'm getting recognition for my performance and my success. I get the feedback and information I need to improve myself and once I do hit my goals, I always get an acknowledgement.
