Speakers: Eduardo Estrada, Procurement Manager LACAR

Eduardo Estrada: Hi, my name is Eduardo Estrada I'm Procurement Manager for LACAR and I've been working at Conduent for two years.

What do you like most about working at Conduent?

Eduardo Estrada: OK, a couple of things that I like about working at Conduent is for instance, whenever you're working in a project or fixing an issue or any task at the hand, it's very easy to work with different people, with different departments. Everybody will help you will be open in giving their point of view from their department standpoint. So that will make that makes fixing issues and, and more moving forward a lot more easier than if you're gonna have that And the other thing is, is also you can brainstorm new ideas. you can propose new projects, propose new ways of working. And if that's something that will help the company is you will have a green light. So it's a very good place to work and keep moving forward, progressing on your different departments.

How does Conduent make you feel valued?

Eduardo Estrada: A lot of things come to my mind whenever we're talking about how Conduent makes me feel valued. One of those things are the frequent meetings, frequent one-on-ones I have with my boss where we talk not only about roles, responsibilities, projects, activities, but we also talk about career path. I know it's, it's something that I feel heard whenever we're talking about that. Another thing is whenever we are discussing topics from my team, I also know it's, it's been work at one of the mantras I picked up from her is people first and I truly try to mimic that from her. It's, it's a lesson I've learned here at Conduent And the other thing I could say is about this CSR activities that we from time to time do. Whenever a company is, is focused in giving back to the community, tells you something positive about how, or what's their approach to people.

How have you grown at Conduent?

Eduardo Estrada: Conduent has been an incredible place to keep growing, both professionally and personally. One of the things that I could say is that the role I currently have the scope I currently have, which is Latin America is the first one I have. With this magnitude before Conduent, the biggest scope I had was Central America. So this has been an opportunity to keep learning about different cultures, about how, how different countries work. A little bit different. You will have to understand, to adapt on the way of working that each country has. There are a lot of differences, even if we all are on Latin America, different countries will have a very set of a specific laws, requirements. So, you will have to adapt and this has been a challenge how to standardize your procurement operation while keeping those nuances while tropicalizing processes where you have to. So, it's it's been quite a challenge to keep standardizing the operation, keep growing and and keep implementing those processes requested by corporate and also by working with, with different cultures. You will also have to understand how to approach different projects how to talk. So that's, that's also been another growing experience. Also, my team is full of intelligent people. So whenever we have a new project coming or a new process or, or anything new, we tend to have discussions on what's the best approach, what's the best way to implement those and, from time to time we have brainstorming sessions. So there's a lot of to learn from, from my team. There's very intelligent people, they know the best about their countries. So that's also something that I keep learning from them. And the other thing is that I learned another language being here at Conduent, which was Portuguese. It's, it's one of the languages that we use in Latin America. So I'm, I'm also very grateful to have the opportunity to learn that from scratch. So in general, there's a lot of things that I've been working at that help me grown both again, professionally and personally.
