Speakers: Children's Protection Society,Penang. Rose
Rose: I'm Rose, the regional manager for CompTIA communities in ASEAN and ANZ regions.
Rose: Children Protection Society in Penang, Malaysia was also a recipient of $5000 from the CompTIA Community ASEAN vote this year. They are not for profit serving the needs of neglected and abandoned children in Penang.
Rose: The CompTIA Community giving program is meaningful to members because it demonstrates how an industry association they belong to aligns with their passion for community and gives back by making a difference.
Children's Protection Society,Penang: Hi, I'm Uma from Children's Potential Society. First of all, we would like to thank CompTIA for your donation and just a brief introduction of CPS. We are a registered non-profit non-government organization catering to the needs of abandoned, neglected and abused children of Penang.
Children's Protection Society,Penang: So the donation given by CompTIA will be used mostly for education. And right now it will be very helpful for the learning center that we are setting up right now. It is at Penang and at the poverty area. So this we believe the center is important for the Children because after school, some of the children have nowhere to go. Even like they go back home, the parents might not be home because they are working. So it would be good that we are able to keep them safe and keep them from any involvement in activities such as gangsterism.
Children's Protection Society,Penang: We at CPS hope that CompTIA Community will always support us in the future as well. Your support will help us to continue carrying out our mission.
