What inspired you to become part of SAAEF?
Hello, I'm Eulalia Gomez-Lebario. I'm from the state of Indiana, proud Hoosiers. I just want to say that what inspired me to be a SAAEF fellow was I wanted to represent the Latino community and bring in representatives here that are minority in the state, and I accomplished that, and I know I have 5 minutes. I need to get this done. I was able to bring in politicians of the Latino community. So that was my heart and that's what I did. What was my biggest accomplishments? When we went to go see the governor, he was impressed with who we brought to visit, he continued to support us at that moment. And we have seen a return in investment of 57 million from just educating our students and taking them out into the job force. So we're in the state for outcomes. Let's see, I knew that I knew that, and I'm gonna go back and. Workforce based enrollment. So really proud of that. The last thing that if you are interested in being a SAAEF, you just dive into it, talk to your director, look at their sites, visit people of in the politicians, look at their, call them, talk to their assistants, and just let them know that you're interested and you just want to sit there and visit and have your information, have your data ready. You'll do well. You really will do well. I can tell you that I was hesitant, but I just dove in and this will end and I will still continue to invite other politicians into our adult education as I did with Senator Carrasco and Representative Garcia Wilburn, and they will continue to represent you because of your excitement. So this is my story. Thank you.
