Speaker: Dr. Jenny McCormack Walker
What inspired you to become part of SAAEF?
Dr. Jenny McCormack Walker: I was inspired to be part of the SAAEF Fellowship because I wanted to learn more about how I could use my skills and my talents to advocate for adult education.
What were your biggest accomplishments during your SAAEF fellowship?
Dr. Jenny McCormack Walker: The biggest accomplishment I feel we were able to make over the course of this fellowship was just the expanded network that the fellowship provided for me not to only connect with folks in my state, but also people in a broad network across the country.
What would you like to say to someone in the field who is unsure if they have what it takes to be an advocate?
Dr. Jenny McCormack Walker: If someone feels unsure about whether or not they would be a good advocate, I would say being an advocate doesn't require any special knowledge or skills. It just requires you to have a heart for adult education and a passion for working with other people toward a common goal.
