Speaker: Wayne

Could you describe a time that Ruth helped you?

Wayne: Ruth really helped me because I was in a technical role as an engineer and I wanted to transition into a buyer, um and I didn't have a good foundation to to get started with. So after taking her two day course um that she offered at my company, um that gave me the ability to get started with her tools, um to kind of see how the negotiation went by using some of her her laid out process. Um, and then in the end to take all of those pieces of information that I had put them into a debrief sheet and learn from it, what could I have done better? What could have done differently and what can I take forward into the next negotiation? So, um, I would say that that course definitely was beneficial, especially for somebody like myself, but even if you've been a season negotiator, I think she has so much insight and so much energy and so much experience that um, I think there's something for everybody to gain by, um, you know, following process, you know, whether that be through a course or or her book or just talking with her

How would you describe the coaching you received from Ruth and CNCG?

Wayne: Ruth has a great foundational process for negotiations. Um So any time I've reached out to her for some sort of coaching advice or latest situation out, she's really good at going back through that process and asking if you had done, you know this step or that step or anything that you might have missed or anything that you can kind of tweak along the way because every situation is different and given her experience, she's really good um at going back and giving advice for each one of those key steps. Also part of that too is, you know, not just during the negotiation, but afterwards if you talk to ruth about a situation, um she offers up really meaningful insights on what could have been done differently, What could you do next going forward? How do you set it up so that you know, things might be different going forward or more beneficial um you know, how to, how to get to get to that bam. Um you know, what sort of other style probing questions could you use? So again, anytime I reached out to ruth, she just brings some some positive energy, a lot of experience and just a willingness to help

Anything else you want to tell people about your coaching/training from CNCG and Ruth?

Wayne: working with ruth and and castle negotiations is is definitely giving me the confidence to go into negotiations um because I have a process that's laid out in front of me and then within that process there are you know, options and scenarios to draw upon and situations that I can, I can now handle, you know, with confidence um you know, had I not had this experience with castle negotiations um I think I'd just be struggling through every situation and and the learning curve would have been much longer, much higher and much more frustrating. So I think you know the way that um castle negotiations and ruth lay it out um you know that confidence brings some some fun to it um it brings some energy to it, it brings opportunities for collaboration and to get to your best agreement to make. Um you may not get it every time but you'll get closer and closer. Um you know, if you follow that process that they lay out and use the tools that are provided, you know, especially the debrief so that you can learn from the situation and see if there's anything you could have done better, what would you do a little different next time And you know, ruth is also always available for you know a quick consultation. You know, she's really good about answering quick emails and phone calls um and always has you know, good insightful um offerings and suggestions for you to to work through issues
