What will you be discussing at the upcoming CMO Summit?
Kristi Melani: I'm gonna be discussing with some esteemed colleagues how to build high performing marketing teams.
What do you think the top three priorities should be for CMOs right now?
Kristi Melani: The top three priorities for Chief Marketing Officers, I think number one is to constantly be educating and advocating for what marketing can do and doing that at the C level, doing that with your peers, doing that with the rest of the organization. So they always know what marketing is bringing to the table. Second, you have to get your operational side fixed, optimized whatever stage you're at. If you can't measure the effectiveness of your marketing, it's gonna be really hard when it comes budget time and last but definitely not least, is to continue to cultivate that marketing winning mindset, making sure that marketing understands the value that they bring as in the team members themselves, so they know that they're not just turning out another content piece, but that could be the piece that actually is the turning point for a lead to turn into a prospect.
What are you looking forward to most about the CMO Summit?
Kristi Melani: I am looking forward to connecting with other Chief Marketing Officers. I know when I sit down with other people that carry the same title we can't stop talking because we actually speak the same language. We understand what the challenges are and we can pick each other's brains. Because this is one of those. We're all in this together. This is to defend the category and defend what marketing does for an organization. So I can't wait to be surrounded by brilliant minds.
