Hi, my name is Agatha. I am from Mexico but I'm raised in a small town in Alberta. I used to work in a grocery store where Margaret Penner introduced me to babysitting for Adult Learning and Tools not knowing it would become such an important part of my life. Eventually Dave introduced me to Tools Play Development, the daycare, which I decided to take my next step to work in a daycare. After working for almost 5 years in a grocery store, I quit my job. Dave from Adult Learning and Tools put out a good word for me to Darla Snow in a daycare, which helped me fill my dreams in working with children daily. The transition from babysitting to childcare is that you play a role in their daily lives. As young children learn about the world, they also learn about who they are as learners. It's in a flight book page 59. Looking back to babysitting, build my foundation but working at a daycare helped me grow professional. Both experiencing my passion for working with children and it helped me understand the impact as a caring adult could have as a child's life. What started as a small job turned into a mindful path that helped me grow not only as a worker, but also as a person by Agatha Neufeldt.
