Speaker: Thu Pham, Senior Solution Analyst, ChannelSight

Can you introduce yourself and your role?

Thu Pham: Hi, my name is Thu. I'm a senior solution analyst from ChannelSight, an Ecommerce intelligence platform based in Dublin.

What challenges were you facing before using Rollstack?

Thu Pham: Due to the nature of our business, the client service team within the company has do a lot of business reports for clients in order to provide them with insights into their online sales and transactions. In the past, there was a process in place to help them with a report preparation in PowerPoint. However, there were two challenges associated with that. First of all, the team had to rely on an Excel template. Although the Excel template was built with some queries to automate the data loading, transformation, and creation of visualizations. The team had to copy the content from Excel into PowerPoint manually. At the same time as the business report was getting more complex with additional data points. The Excel template started to become a bit more outdated and harder for us to maintain over time. Furthermore, the most frustrating part of the process was that whenever there was a change in the data source, the team had to go back to the first step of the process of preparing the data and rebuilding the PowerPoint report. And that put a lot of time pressure on them, especially when the change happened a couple of days prior to an important client meeting. To improve the efficiency of our internal process. We were looking for a lot of solutions and came across Rollstack as a perfect fit for us.

How did Rollstack help resolve this challenge, and impact your team's day to day?

Thu Pham: We started to use and include Rollstack in our internal process um at the end of last year and immediately noticed the impact it brought to our business. First and foremost, it has removed our dependency on the Excel template and reduced the massive amount of manual efforts in creating reports and repairing the data. With Rollstack we are now able to synchronize different custom visualizations from our Looker the business intelligence platform into different PowerPoints or Google Slide destinations directly and seamlessly. As a result that not only enables us to quickly refresh the content whenever there is a change in the data but also improves the consistency and the quality of the data visualizations that we present to different clients across the board. Now, our team is able to use Rollstack to create a report for a completely new client just by duplicating an existing template and modifying the report folder in Rollstack. And with a massive amount of time saved from preparing and visualizing the data, the team can spend more time understanding, interpreting the data inside to provide more relevant recommendations and actions to our clients.

Would you recommend Rollstack to others? Why?

Thu Pham: I would definitely recommend rost to any business. Any organization that involves a lot in day to day or regular reports to me, Rollstack is a great extension to any self-service platforms like Tableau or Looker because it provides a business users with a lot of flexibility to create their own relevant content or cross monitor the data story efficiently. In my case, after having Rollstack set up for the client service's team and introduce it to another team within the company. Now, they use it for their quarterly report to different data partners. From my experience Rollstack comes with a great support and service. At the same time, the platform is very intuitive, easy to use for even for non technical users.
