Hello, my name is Kelly Goodwin and I joined the Clean Beauty Accelerator Program to advance the learning that I had already done with my studies in Aromatherapy. Uh getting my Aromatherapy certification just wanted to kind of take it to the next level to learn a little deeper dive into formulating, formulating to the point that I could provide those formulas to a manufacturer to bring my brand to retail.
Working with Amy has been just a complete joy. She is just a wealth of knowledge and I just gained so much information and knowledge from her. Uh She was an excellent mentor um As far as getting product from point A to point B, um introducing us to manufacturing plants, introducing us to chemist um different people as far as packaging and so forth. Um So many different steps and so many things involved, but also just also um just a deep, deep dive on how to formulate um all the different preservatives, stabilizers, emulsifier um and how those interact from a chemistry standpoint uh when you put it all together in your product. Um But it also just offering a product that is sustainable. Um And that can be actually sold in um in the market uh for retail.
One of my favorite things about the program was just the connection with other entrepreneurs. Um Just also learning together. Um Some of the frustrations that I may have experienced, I was able to assist others that were taking the course as well or if they had experienced something or ran into a roadblock or had success with certain things, um then that was able to be shared as a group. So I really, really enjoyed that. Um The other thing I just enjoyed one on one time uh with Amy specifically, uh just to help move forward with my own personal goals of getting my product to retail.
Before I took the Clean Beauty Accelerator Program, I felt like I was lost. And sometimes I still as a new entrepreneur and a new small business owner, feel lost. Um But she was able to help me navigate um different steps that I didn't even think existed or avenues that existed. She was able to open those doors. For me, it just kind of exposed me to the different areas of manufacturing, um cosmetic scientist for formulation, uh just all the different things um from start to finish of just basic things even from opening a business. So that was probably the biggest thing and the greatest knowledge that I gained um from her program. And I just highly encourage if you're thinking about it um that you should sign up and take it.
