What prompted you to hire a coach?
a little bit more. I don't know that I was actually actively looking for anything. I just knew that I was still feeling underwater, still feeling frustrated, still feeling guilty about everything. So anyway, I don't know what the specific impetus was for like accepting her invite, but I know that she had the complimentary first hour, like no strings attached, let's just chat. And I remember leaving that conversation and being like, oh my gosh, mind blowing of help. And I was like, I need her program, whatever it is. And from there I was interested in exploring her 12 week program.
What impact did coaching with Amanda have on your mom guilt?
I have more sleep because of it. I think it ultimately comes down to more patience with my children too because I would feel guilty for being late or for me to pick them up, last from school. But I would know that I hadn't finished all the things I wanted to get done. So then I would feel like I had to rush to get them ready to eat, go to bed, etcetera so that I could get back online and going. And so I was short with them or with my husband, I was frustrated if I couldn't get a workout in and like being confident that when I can work a little bit longer, they might be 10 minutes more by themselves at school, but they are happy, they are safe. They are with friends, they are well fed, they are with people who love them. And that 10 more minutes to help me feel like I'm shutting things down has helped me then feel like I can be present with them when I pick them up and with them through the evening. And that was one of the first things she coached me on where I just feel such immense guilt that they are the
What is the most applicable tool Amanda taught you?
Oh, that model? Oh, my gosh. I just love it. I was using it over the holidays for myself in response to some family things. And I love frameworks. I love something to organize myself and my thoughts in a way that I don't have to like, rethink it all the time and having that framework has just been awesome to be able to fit in. Sometimes. I have a hard time figuring out how to do that. And that's where, I mean, it's been helped too, but that's been amazing and
What's a major change you have noticed since working with Amanda?
Yeah, confidence in my decisions. Like one of the things that it's been really hard for me to work through is grown as a people. Like my team is much larger than it's ever been. So I went from having four people, one year, 10 people in the next year. And now I have 48 associates and I was so empathetic early on and it was clouding my ability to like manage effectively. And so I've just become so much more confident in my leadership capabilities and my management capabilities and with my kind of intuition around things and full sit things, being situations and people. And I think that's made a huge difference in how I show up and just how I feel about work every day.
Do you enjoy working with Amanda?
I love working with her. I mean, I tell everyone about, like, some people at work were like, you hired your own coach and I'm like, yes. And if I didn't, I wouldn't be working here. So you should love that.
What's the vibe of your coaching sessions?
They're phenomenal. They're my favorite meeting of the week. And I feel like I leave with a sense of peace and direction that help me be focused through the rest of the week. And yeah, I mean, she's like a friend at the same time. Like, it's fun to be able to have outlet with someone that I feel like I can relate to and could be friends with outside of work and she's fun to talk to and she's not judgmental at all. Like just helps guide you in such a phenomenal way. So.
Would you recommend Amanda to somebody?
Oh yeah, 100% particularly to working moms because one, I think she's been a great investment in myself. Like I said, I don't think I was kept on this career path in this trajectory without her support. And I think it's helped me be a better mom, be a better wife and ultimately be happier in my day to day. And that's why I recommended her to my team members and colleagues is like just having that outlet is pretty life cheap.
