What made you choose Chicago Cornea and Dr. Majmudar?
Martha Reyes: So I had actually heard about Chicago Cornea through a coworker of mine because he had gotten LASIK done through Chicago Cornea. And then when I went in for a consultation, I met Dr. Majmudar and I remembered him from when I was younger, my dad had gotten into an accident and he needed eye surgery and he was his surgeon. Right.
How did you feel the day after your procedure?
Martha Reyes: Waking up the next day after my procedure felt like a normal regular day. I wasn't in any discomfort. There was no pain. My eyes were not dry. It was just incredible to wake up and be able to see.
You could have chosen from ANY option for vision correction, so what specifically about EVO made you to choose EVO?
Choosing EVO for me was almost a no brainer. I have a lot of friends who have had corrective vision procedures in the past such as LASIK and a lot of them either have to wear glasses again or they complain a lot about dry eyes and they might have some trouble seeing at night and I just didn't want to have those problems later on.
What are you enjoying most about your new vision?
Being a firefighter paramedic, you have to wake up in the middle of the night for emergencies. And the best part about the EVO ICL surgery is that I get to wake up now and not have to worry about where my glasses are. If I brought my glasses case with me, do I have enough eye drops? Because I have slept in my contacts for two days now and I get to respond to these emergencies and I can see everything's 100% nothing's uncomfortable and I get to focus on my job.
