Amanda Fernandez: I'm Doctor Fernandez. I work with Clarksville, Lakeview, and Feather River Charter Schools.
Why did you choose to go with Charter Impact?
Amanda Fernandez: We continue to go with Charter Impact, year after year. So Charter Impact does a stellar job at just overall customer service, The staff members that you guys employ are phenomenal very good relationship builders, but more than that they understand the complexities of our schools. Our schools are very different and they operate in a very unique way. Charter Impact takes the time to understand how our schools operate and then they maximize and leverage their platforms, so that we get the best service. If there's ever a point in time that I feel like, oh, I'd like to do things in a different way or we do things in a different way. It's as simple as making a phone call and saying, hey, are we able to do things a little bit differently or I have this idea. Is that something that you guys can help with? And they're always willing to switch it up and and support us in any way that we, we need, which is amazing.
How has Charter Impact made a difference in your organization?
Amanda Fernandez: I think the recent changes to the platforms that are utilized, so Sage Intact, Amazing Change, we utilize Edstruments now for, in-house, invoice processing and payment that has been great, very great partnership there, and then we also switched over to Inova for payroll, All of those platforms are really bringing our systems up to the current century. I feel like before we were doing things a little bit more archaic and using spreadsheets and so we're finally able to have true robust systems that we're we're able to grow into um in comparison we were actually growing out of the way that we were doing things in the past. So what we found is. Although we may have some hiccups and implementation, that's only because we're, we're able to see our own holes, our own gaps, and then we're like, oh, didn't notice that before when we were using a spreadsheet, but now we're able to push past that and come up with some pretty dynamic systems that we have in place now and doing a lot of in-house training as well for our staff members.
What makes you proudest about your charter school this year?
Amanda Fernandez: Oh my goodness, We have some amazing programs, but that would not happen if we were not fiscally solvent and so if you were to look at our schools 4 years ago, 5 years ago, we were in a much different place than we are now, and I attribute our success, our financial success to the relationship that we've truly built with Charter Impact and our client director, so he works tirelessly for us at all times. And he listens to all of my ideas and then he says, OK, well, let's take it a step further. Let's do this. So we're able to build really dynamic budgets we stay on top of them, we're doing monthly GLs. We do all sorts of things to ensure that we have not only compliance, but we have built a solid, reserve so we can weather the next set of deferrals if they come. So it's amazing.
