Speaker: Jamie Walsh, Delivery Specialist
Please introduce yourself and tell us about your role in the company.
Jamie Walsh: Hi, I'm Jamie and I am working at CereCore International under the title of Delivery Specialist. However, my role at the moment is geared towards training to become a MEDITECH Reporting Consultant.
What I enjoy most about working at CereCore International is…
Jamie Walsh: What I enjoy most about working at CereCore International is the close knit team. So at previous companies I've worked at, the group has been a lot bigger. You're not always able to connect with people individually as much as you'd like, whereas with this team, I've been able to get to know pretty much everyone individually and a lot of the work socials we've had have been really nice. There's always that support network. You can reach out to anyone with any questions. So any area of the business you need to get in contact with, you're on that first name basis and you know them, so I find that really helpful.
How would you describe your experience with the company culture so far?
Jamie Walsh: My experience with the company culture so far has been very positive. I do not come from a remote working background, so I used to work in labs, and so transitioning from always on site to never on site was definitely a challenge. However, I found the support available to me when I've reached out has been very good. I'm blessed to be surrounded by good colleagues, but also there has been the respect there to let me manage my own workload, find my own way and set my own deadlines, so it's been very positive.
A fun fact you would like to share with others...
Jamie Walsh: So a fun fact I will share about myself is that I used to be part of a film club when I was younger with some of my other friends. And there is a YouTube channel somewhere that is full of short films of, uh, me and my friends when we were younger, when we were taking our artistic side very seriously. And I'm never gonna tell anyone the name of that YouTube channel because it's just too embarrassing to watch back.
Finish this sentence: I am a link to life-saving care because…
Jamie Walsh: I'm a link to life saving care because by training amongst the professionals that I'm surrounded by who have been working in this sector for many decades in many cases, I will be able to contribute to work for Trusts that enables life saving care at the front end. And I'm very proud of that.
