Speaker: Giuliana "G"Mignone, Associate Contract Analyst
Tell us about your career journey with CereCore and HCA Healthcare.
Giuliana "G"Mignone: My name is Giuliana and everybody kind of calls me "G" and I have been with CereCore for two years now. I actually came from working professionally in the music industry and I wanted to shift into something that was more impactful and patient focused. I come from a whole family of nurses and doctors. So, it made sense to want to follow my heart to go there with patient care. I started out on our level one help desk and then I ended up moving over to our contracts team, last June. And so, I've been here since and it has been a wonderful journey so far.
What's different or unique about working here? What's the work like (culture, projects, approach, team, etc.)?
Giuliana "G"Mignone: So, whenever I tell people about CereCore, I always talk about how much my boss cares about my well being and how many friends that I have made from working at the level one desk and just being in the CereCore community. I think a really important thing from my perspective is I am also a full time musician that is my life's passion. And this is my day job. I love my day job. I come into work. I absolutely adore the leadership. I always feel respected and listened to. You know, I have visible piercings and tattoos and I never get treated like anything other than a professional in this office. Every time I see something it is valued, I'm always learning from the people around me. I always have somebody to bounce questions off of. There's just no prideful egotistical behavior at all in this company. It is truly a community of professionals who no matter what you look like, no matter where you're from, and no matter what you do, if you have something to bring to the table, they are going to have something to bring to the table to you. And I think that that is something that is so invaluable to this company culture, especially in this day and age, it's very forward focused. It's a very attractive company to work for, especially for younger professionals like myself.
What has been most rewarding thus far?
Giuliana "G"Mignone: I think the most rewarding thing about working with CereCore has been the really full circle moments I've had with my initial primary position here and moving on to being a contract analyst and seeing how we work in real time with our clients and our customers and do the patient care and see how much time and effort that the back end of our team does in creating these deals and making sure that our clients are taken care of. The client is always first. We are always worrying and taking into consideration about their needs and what makes sense for them. And I think that that's really cool because, you know, you see that on the front lines, you see individual people taking care of others, but to see that to come from the top down and to see true caring and intentional action from leadership is, it's a really full circle and rewarding thing. I would also say, I have a couple of friends that I referred that work here now and they absolutely love their job. It's changed their life around. They've been able to have you know, a completely different lifestyle change from this position. And I love to see that because I'm a big community person.
What opportunities for career growth have you experienced or do you anticipate?
Giuliana "G"Mignone: I've had an incredible opportunity with career growth and opportunity here at CereCore. The company culture is very much an open door policy. If I wanted to talk to somebody or I wanted to pick their brain or have a conversation, all I had to do was send them a Webex message or an email. And I knew I was at least going to get a conversation because people truly want to see you succeed here. I think it's all about what you make of it. If you see something that you want to do, it's really, really uniquely special and easy to make those connections. I started out on the desk as an L1 analyst and I was just, you know, hungry for more. I wanted to dive deep into the CereCore culture and find a life here. And so, I ended up finding things I'm passionate about. I'm a musician, I'm a writer. So, working in contracts made sense for me, reading all day, writing all day, made sense for me. And so, I ended up meeting the team over in finance and going to Connection and making those meetings and talking and it ended up just being kind of a perfect fit. And so, now, I just look forward to continuing my career in this position and seeing, you know, how it evolves from there, because I think the piece of this company that is really interesting is that a lot of positions are built around the people. And that is really cool because sometimes you're trying to fill spaces with different people. But CereCore I've noticed has found strengths in people and found positions to help everyone flourish. And that's really cool because you're really valued as a person. So again, if you have something to bring to the table and you are vocal and hardworking about wanting the opportunity, something, is there for you in this company.
