Speaker: Dawn Osborn, Senior Consultant
Dawn Osborn: Hello, my name is Dawn Osborne. I'm a senior consultant with the MEDITECH Professional Services Group and I've been working with CereCore for right at five years.
Describe the organization or non-profit you support and volunteer for.
Dawn Osborn: One of the nonprofits that I volunteer for is the NEA Game Fest, which is a gaming group that plays tabletop and role playing games in Northeast Arkansas. And every year they do a fundraiser for a charitable organization, last year, it was the Walnut Ridge Homeless Children's Shelter. And this year it is the Jonesboro Friends of The Library, so, everybody needs they buy badges, they play games, they have a lot of fun, and all the proceeds from the event and the silent auction all go to those causes.
How did you discover your passion for this charity/ non-profit/ volunteering opportunity? What made you turn your passion into action?
Dawn Osborn: I've always been involved in some sort of philanthropic work or charitable work just from a young age. I worked with the Order of the Eastern Star as a young girl, did things through my public school, this particular organization I found as I was an attendee, found out they needed volunteers, found out what the organization stood for, and just really fell in love with it. And it's also something that my whole family can volunteer in. So, my sons and my husband and I will all come up here volunteer work for this, help them raise money, and then at night we can play the game. So, it's just a really neat opportunity.
Dawn Osborn: I am the link to lifesaving care because I always strive to work to help others to provide them with opportunities within their community and empower them to be their best self. Anything that I do, it's always to try to edify and help other people. And I'm proud that CereCore supports me in these opportunities. Thank you.
